UC DAVIS FILM FEST

PAMELA OREBAUGH (Student Producer)
Festival student producer and English and Film Studies double- major Pamela Orebaugh has remarked of the festival, “It’s wonderful to see UC Davis, typically a science school, produce so many great and unexpected pieces from all majors, not just arts and humanities!”

CHIIJMREE WILLIAMS (Student Assistant Producer)
Chiijmree is a Film Studies major and contributor to this year’s films.

ANDREW BLALOCK
Andy won the Best Director and Best Editor last year. This experience gives him perspective on the festival. His various submissions concern ideas ranging from the need to feel useful in the world, to a commentary on the future of social networking sites like Twitter, to a simple love story of two people that are supposed to be together, to his little dog taking his car for a joy ride.  He says: “My inspiration for the projects always seem to come from suddenly and from random sources.  For a claymation I’m submitting called Needed, I was just messing around with clay in a ceramics class and ended up making a little blob that looked like it had a personality of its own, and since the whole reason for clay to exist is to be useful, I got the idea to make a movie about a blob of clay that wasn’t used and then embarks on a journey to fill that need.”
