Jobie Hughes was a high school state champion in wrestling, attended Ohio University on an athletic scholarship, and graduated with a business degree in Management Information Systems. He started writing when he was 24 and, at age 27, moved to New York City to attend Columbia University’s School of the Arts where he graduated in May 2009 with an MFA in Creative Writing (fiction). From there, he co-authored two young adult novels (with James Frey, under the pseudonym Pittacus Lore) in the Lorien Legacy series, I Am Number Four and The Power of Six, both of which were #1 New York Times Best Sellers and have sold over two million copies. I Am Number Four was made into a movie by Dreamworks pictures, His work has been translated into 27 languages and published in 49 countries.
