Studio 301 Productions: Cast of Rent

Mitchell VanLandingham is a third-year Linguistics major at UC Davis, minoring in Dramatic Art and French.  Rent is the second production he has directed for Studio 301, the first being Frank Wedekind’s Spring Awakening in February 2011.  He has also acted here in Davis, notably appearing in Studio 301’s production of Hair and in UC Davis’s production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead as Rosencrantz.  He is due to direct a staged reading of Dustin Lance Black’s 8, the new play about the Prop 8 trial, this October for Studio 301.

Elizabeth Tremaine (Musical Director/Choreographer) is making her musical directing debut with Studio 301 Productions. She has appearred as Wendla Bergmann in Studio 301’s productions of Spring Awakening, which was named best Theatrical Production of 2012 by the California Aggie. Her other credits include Assistant Director forTwist and Shout (California Theatre Arts) and Assistant Director/Choreographer for Quadrille(Crossroads Theatre). Acting credits include Sally Simpson in The Who’s Tommy, Olive Ostrovsky inThe 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
